Anyway, to add to this mystery, I also tried to use the "Bring" option in MC3, and when I tried to navigate to a different drive and path, same thing happened. I'm wondering if it's an issue with my emulator. Has anyone else had this issue with D-Fend Reloaded? What other emulators have folks used and been able to successfully "Bring" characters to the next game in the series?Graysketch Renaissancenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-77523507508527095532024-02-04T18:24:05.151-05:002024-02-04T18:24:05.151-05:00Great blog on the MC2 experience! I recently tried an experiment with MC2 to see how to "Bring" my MC1 characters into the new game. I was able to launch MC2 and upon selecting "Bring", it prompted me for a drive and path for the MC1 saved file. No matter which path I entered, the MC2 game crashed. Curious to know if anyone on this thread has been able to "Bring" MC1 or Keys to Maramon characters into their MC2 game via DOS-Box, and if so, how did you keep it from crashing? Thanks in advance! I did a test to see if I could "Bring" my MC1 characters into MC2. I was able to 1) launch MC2 from D-Fend Reloaded and 2) select "Bring" from the title screen. However, when I entered the drive and path for the saved file, it crashed. I tried several different paths, each one resulting in a crash. Curious to know if anyone on this thread has had any success "Bringing" MC1 characters into their MC2 game from a D-Fend Reloaded or DOS-Box perspective. If I have no clear idea what to do, I end talking to everyone until I finished their dialogue tree and in a modern game that can be 100s of NPCs with nothing interesting to say. Masses of boring dialogue make a game boring but not talking to everyone runs the 'risk' of missing something. I guess my OCD killed my love for role playing games ;) Develinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06413260898487607418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-60907985006434990002017-04-07T20:49:30.278-04:002017-04-07T20:49:30.278-04:00I was only hyped about MC1 since it's manuals ...I was only hyped about MC1 since it's manuals left sick an impression on me as a kid. The Command Summary Card also contains instructions for using the disk utilities and for transferring characters from Bard's Tale, Ultima III(tm) and Wizardry(tm)* see "Pre-Built Parties" below).' and elsewhere 'If you're an experienced player with a band of strong adventurers (higher than level 14) transferred from Bard's Tale, Wizardry(tm) or Ultima III(tm), you can set out in search of the Destiny Wand immediately'<br /><br />Did anyone actually do this?
