It also contains some kind of awkward dating simulator. Of course, the dialogue options with your dating partner somehow always seem to lead to talking about how important it is to find a good job so you don’t get thrown out. Ah, what a great utopia...Andre Jonashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05192146226077277065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-54291586059375890242022-11-08T03:26:01.122-05:002022-11-08T03:26:01.122-05:00'Vision' is featured in a short 2019 artic...'Vision' is featured in a short 2019 article on pcgamer about (title in the link): https://www.pcgamer.com/7-amazingly-terrible-corporate-promotional-games/. You find other adware titles mentioned in the comments, one of them called 'Chester Cheetah' (for the SNES) - which should make it a mandatory play for Chet ;-P.

Totally unrelated, but I also learned from those comments that the Bluetooth technology is named after a 10th century Danish king.Buscanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-83052512111716948562022-11-08T03:25:00.443-05:002022-11-08T03:25:00.443-05:00It's a mixture between an adware and a commerc...It's a mixture between an adware and a commercial game. Based on what reviews and other sources say, 'Vision' was initially (starting October 1992 and for two months) sold in a limited run of 15 000 only in the LBS branches in one of Germany's 16 regions (NRW) for DM 20,- and then as full-price game (Amiga DM 89,- / PC DM ca. 120,-) through normal commercial channels everywhere. See the differences in the respective boxes and disk labels on e.g. HOL or mobygames.

I wonder, if the (sub-)title was maybe inspired by a 1990 single / 1991 EP called 'Utopia' by a group named 'Dimension 5' (https://www.discogs.com/de/release/133309-Dimension-5-Utopia)?

For the period, it was a huge game to run from disk - and probably a pain in the neck: on the Amiga, the seven disks it came on needed to be installed resulting in a total of 13 (!).

And we're actually in 2022 now, but strangely, the world looks nothing like the game... .Buscanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-71624060509207721742022-07-15T14:12:44.481-04:002022-07-15T14:12:44.481-04:00An anonymous commenter let a message that I accide...An anonymous commenter let a message that I accidentally deleted while trying to approve it. Funnily enough I also found it fascinating because it portrayed life in a mid-sized German city in such a deep way, which felt about as foreign as a game set in the United States for me (being from a tiny village in the backend of nowhere).

Dunkle Schatten even had two sequels, neither of which grabbed me the way the first one did. All of a sudden the more subtle educational aspects of the first game came through much more, and the art upgraded in ways that were just not as charming anymore. gmkeroshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13230061545143361333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-50209970592618876442021-02-13T01:11:16.231-05:002021-02-13T01:11:16.231-05:00@Cohnel
