It's an amazing game and I expect to play it for a long time still to come," I have to believe he's trolling because otherwise my heart would break."<br /><br />I apologise for causing your heart to break Mr. Bolingbroke, but I honestly believe he wasn't trolling.<br /><br />Having grown up with a low end 386 and not many games to speak of, I can certainly understand the repetition value of a short, BEATABLE game.<br /><br />After I got my hands on Baldur's Gate back in 1998/99, I basically stopped playing platformers and other, more console-like games, but my unhealthy obsession for Prince of Persia continues to this day, simply because it was a game I could play and beat in about 30 minutes, so I would play it very, very often.<br /><br />The impression it left in my young mind was such that I still beat ALL games of the series with more regularity than any other games I may enjoy playing a lot more.<br /><br />I mentioned Baldur's Gate and how it completely changed the way I looked at games, and I will extol its virtues to anyone who will listen, willing or otherwise, yet I only beat it an embarrassingly low number of times when compared to the clunky, frustrating, borderline unplayable by today's standards original PoP trilogy.<br /><br />Those user "reviews" comprised solely of the phrase 'This game was my childhood' may be irritating & annoying, but the fact remains that nostalgia's power is constantly underrated.<br /><br />So yeah, I can certainly believe this is someone's childhood game.Izzy Morenonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-81130610039951488192018-02-12T17:17:41.849-05:002018-02-12T17:17:41.849-05:00The funniest thing about Braminar is that so many ...The funniest thing about Braminar is that so many people take it serious, like discussing the morality of the slaves motif. Guys, this is clearly the result of some kid making its first steps programming games, and he (or she) just included slaves because, yeah, having slaves are cool.<br /><br />Personally, I have a soft spot for this completely offbeat, weird, inane and unique works of imperfect humans; this one's definitively so bad it's good. He probably never thought to change it to an integer. It only really matters if you have negative numbers or fractions though.
