Seems like someone who had a little trouble in high school and never got over it was given the wheel a few too many times in my opinion.

Once you remove that garbage though (and most of the same garbage from the other goldbox games), these games are actually real gems with good quality fights that are challenging but fair and winnable and have a great story.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-31022314103851864162016-07-23T14:28:17.508-04:002016-07-23T14:28:17.508-04:00The twins trilogy was one of the ones that turned ...The twins trilogy was one of the ones that turned me off Dragonlance when I was a kid.Canageekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03770924810559440307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-55242295730647765842015-10-25T09:46:28.100-04:002015-10-25T09:46:28.100-04:00"That's the helmet you're going with?..."That's the helmet you're going with? When I was a kid I had an educational game for the Color Computer 2 (U.S. version of the Dragon) featuring the characters from Disney's The Black Hole (yeah, kind of messed up) and it never required rewinding, even though it had actual voice acting (by cleverly playing it from the tape through the TV speakers).

In fairness, though, I guess the game I played was probably a lot more linear.HunterZhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17049065099652976143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-73455134115712022392015-08-18T16:31:19.145-04:002015-08-18T16:31:19.145-04:00I'm disappointed that the undead town isn'...I'm disappointed that the undead town isn't just, y'know, a normal town full of undead.Jonothanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06305455959377150878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-42033615835357499192015-08-17T16:49:32.123-04:002015-08-17T16:49:32.123-04:00I think 2nd ed is the first incarnation of d&d...I think 2nd ed is the first incarnation of d&d that specifically gave you xp for killing enemies; in OD&D and 1st ed, XP was rewarded for gathering treasure.Jonothanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06305455959377150878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-18782343917336242712015-08-17T11:01:31.859-04:002015-08-17T11:01:31.859-04:00Oof, it looks like even after getting your drained...Oof, it looks like even after getting your drained characters restored, they were still missing quite a bit of max HP.

Those undead chickens are scary!Fryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07805219432946673379noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-31451743504279759732015-08-17T06:02:36.599-04:002015-08-17T06:02:36.599-04:00Come on. When you turn undead, they still want to eat your brains, they are just forced to escape until they are out of sight and/or the cleric stops turning (it is an ongoing action). In fact if the cleric corners them and gets too close, it breaks and they can fight as normal. The computer game just skips this and says ok they are gone, I remember now, only using turn undead in DKK if I was certain to get automatic destroys or if a fight just had too many level drainers.
One nice touch about this game, is common street thugs learn their lesson after a couple times of getting their butts kickedBorothnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-89551203191344468482015-08-15T15:02:08.061-04:002015-08-15T15:02:08.061-04:00They're definitely magical items, not simply p...They're definitely magical items, not simply physical. Does experience in D&D work like it does in Dark Souls, where you're literally sucking up the essence of the slain enemy?
