I'...Chet, I absolutely couldn't agree more. I'm from Portugal, but US elections affect the entire world, and Trump is by far the scariest candidate I've seen in 42 years. It's not just a question of worse policies vs. better policies; Trump embodies everything wrong with humanity: racism, sexism, bullying, anti-intellectualism, "us vs. them" mentality, complete disregard for facts and the truth, and seeing everything as a zero-sum game ("if those people get rights equal to mine, I'm being robbed."). I really, really, really hope Hillary Clinton wins.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10155410179950267253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-15532681329249352152016-11-08T01:47:52.795-05:002016-11-08T01:47:52.795-05:00Tomorrow, I stand strong with Hillary Clinton.
So...Tomorrow, I stand strong with Hillary Clinton.

So you might be wondering... what drew me to a candidate like her? Was it her "stronger together" message against Donald Trump's supposed "Xenophobic" and "Islamophobic" rhetoric? Her famous philosophy from Michelle Obama, "They go low, we go high?"

As if I give a damn about any of that. Listen, the reason is exactly why Republicans bitch and moan about her. I absolutely love the fact that HRC gets campaign funds from the Saudi government. I love the fact that she is bought out by Wall Street (Aka people who actually know how to run the country) As far as I'm concerned, I want MORE refugees into Europe, and soon hopefully the United States. Also Mexicans take jobs in America nobody wants. Us white people can have the better jobs.

Trump is always putting forth that he's the "alpha" of the two. However, the truth is that Hillary is the hot-blooded alpha. HRC has the balls to do whatever it takes to rig an election. A true alpha like Hillary rigs the system and doesn't give a single good goddamn. Her mindset is "I'm going to win the highest office in the land, and no one can stop me. IT'S MY TURN, BITCH." A country which has a working health care system, which has a chancellor who actually believes in facts and logic (though I do not always agree with her decisions) and where politicians who lie are actually lowering their election chances. Don't misunderstand me: Germany is not a paradise. There are many problems we have to solve. One of the bigger ones is the integration of the million of fugitives we "acquired" since last year. To ask just about anyone else, Trump just says way more indefensible stuff.

It's a convenient story for Trump. The more reporting there is on his negative aspects, the more he gets to point towards conspiracy.

Heaven forbid anyone actually do real research into statements rather than rely on a web of blogs that reference each other. I've civily engaged a few Trump supporters. It always ends up with me doing a bunch of work looking into what few (if any!) sources they post for their facts regarding their views, and about 2-3 blogs deep you finally run into where someone made some very tenuous claims from some misinterpreted data. I'm on the sid...Interesting post and comments. I'm on the side of voting Gary Johnson because of my belief in voting for who I think the best candidate is, regardless of their likelihood of winning. This may be seen as a wasted vote, but I don't think it is because voting for the lesser of two evils just feels like settling.

My experience with Trump supporters tells me they come from two camps. The first is what you'd expect, people with millions of dollars who are already very conservative and like his 'no-nonsense' take me as I am attitude. The other honestly is the larger of the two (I don't know all that many millionaires) and consists of folks that just want a change from the standard politicians that get in and seem to do nothing for the vast majority of citizens. Perhaps a misguided view since the likelihood of Trump having any more success working with Congress than any other President is low.

Hilary supporters see to me to represent those that don't care for Trumps antics, but frankly just about anything that can be said about one candidate can be said about the other. Hilary has had plenty of evidence of 'bullying' even while she blasts Trump for being a bully. Trump is quite fond of bashing Hilary for being a criminal, yet he himself is a grand example of someone who would be in jail if he didn't have enough high-priced lawyers to fill a brothel.

Point is that, IMO bashing anyone for hating one candidate is a bit hypocritical since they are both highly flawed and probably both belong in jail. The only upside I see in this election is that whoever wins is likely to be impeached and then perhaps we'll get a better person running the Country when the VP takes over...

As for me, I'll vote Gary Johnson because he doesn't have any of the massive negatives associated to Clinton or Trump. He will likely receive about 1% of the popular vote, but I'll at least be able to know that I voted for who I believe is a better person and a better candidate than either one of the crap choices the major parties threw at us.CT62https://www.blogger.com/profile/09367626671107670398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-39927647022226395622016-11-06T12:54:35.217-05:002016-11-06T12:54:35.217-05:00It also bothers me that Clinton wants to fight Rus...It also bothers me that Clinton wants to fight Russia in Syria, which seems like it could start World War III. I think Hillary is more liberal but she still represents the old guard and its fear of modern advancements.

We need leaders who are young and more in touch, as I suspect we are on the verge of massive technological breakthroughs with recent discoveries like the Telomerase treatments used on Elizabeth Parish and the EM Drive.Obdurate Hater of Rhythm Gamesnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-13818411636064790252016-11-06T04:34:16.510-05:002016-11-06T04:34:16.510-05:00That was salon.com levels of propaganda, but it di...That was salon.com levels of propaganda, but it did give me a good giggle.
