Or, at least I used to.

Maybe I'm misremembering, but I seem to recall Chet is usually not so in-depth when it comes to gameplay minutae, except as a short exampe, which is where I was coming from.

Anyway, we'll see what the future brings - like I wrote earlier, this was my first TLDR here, otherwise I'm with GregT and generally enjoy whatever Chet puts out there. So much so that I wish he could just quit his day job and blog a much more, then who knows, we might actually hit the 2000s one day. :D

rezafhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03134083765782324633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-24254508759412051302019-06-29T05:52:13.802-04:002019-06-29T05:52:13.802-04:00I think it works for Darklands more than most, bec...I think it works for Darklands more than most, because the entire game is basically randomly-generated busywork. There's a fair few people who blog about playing games, but few are as satisfyingly readable as the CRPG Addict.

I suppose the ones I'm least satisfied by are the ones where Chet describes *what* he's doing without talking about *why*, or the thought process. Which is why I'd generally prefer to see shorter posts, more often, than "one and done" big entries, because I like seeing what he thinks *in the moment* rather than with the benefit of hindsight.GregThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01532920274312703426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-19673653913949107562019-06-28T18:05:18.126-04:002019-06-28T18:05:18.126-04:00I think one good definition of a classic RPG could...I think one good definition of a classic RPG could well be "a description of a game would make a good travelogue"Gerry Quinnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04078394659680797175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162314467762792782.post-42037241865656511772019-06-28T12:12:59.569-04:002019-06-28T12:12:59.569-04:00Honestly, I had some of the same feelings as I was...Honestly, I had some of the same feelings as I was writing the entry.
