The PO Box address is no longer valid for receiving game codes. He did send me a link to a later version of Shadow Keep, http://glennsgames.fileburst.com/ShadowKeep.sit

This version does not require a save code. I was also able to solve the labyrinth without the amulet. Head right first from the entrance, then up and around. Once you find a small room with some treasure chests, you are close to the end and the far land.

There is a place in the far land with 4 eagles on the ground, just like the south west of shadowkeep. I couldn't figure out how to use the druid relic, but perhaps John in the dungeon has a hint about using an airplane to travel quickly between lands.

Also, I didn't need to speak to Katrina in the castle to find the sacred bone. It is in the far south east side of the dungeon. I was sure to bring lots of invisibility potions and health potions, as the beholders will drain your magic.

As far as getting gold, I kept going to the cave in the middle of the serpent sea (also on the south-west-center) of the map, and killing bats until I had enough gold to buy all the potions I needed.

I have screenshots of the solution to the labyrinth that I'll post if there is any interest. Any suggestions there?

I'm also unable to get the Amulet from Thaldo the Innkeeper. I've searched the inn, asked him about it in all the different ways I can think of, etc. No dice. Most RPGs use a depth system- As you play more your fighters get better at fighting and not much else. Basic Roleplay/Call of Cthulhu uses an organic system that tends to make characters more well rounded over time. Once I did a EOB 1 & 2 continuous playthrough, and definitely felt that my team was overpowered and it took away from the discovery of new equipment upgrades. Which is a shame by the way, since for role-playing reasons, continuing with the same party is so much fun. There is some nice gear (cloaks of displacement and boots of speed), but my party at the end of Gateway only had marginally better gear and a level over a fresh Treasures starting party.
